Lora Frances Gilbert, age 87, of Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 24 at Laurelwood Assisted Living & Memory Care. Frances was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 29, 1939, to the late Stanley and Dorothy (Norvell) Clemmons.
As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Frances spent her life being one of the best care givers for her family, and renowned baker. She also worked at Carlisle Local Schools for many years and was fondly remembered as a beloved "Lunch Lady".
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Paul Gilbert, grandson Elijah Gilbert, sister Betty(Slaton) Smith, 7 brothers, in-laws James and Francis(Bishop) Gilbert, 6 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law. She is survived by her son, Paul "PG" (Marci) Gilbert; daughter, MaryEllin (Todd) Gullett; 6 grandchildren; Seth (Morgan) Gilbert, Sydney (Alec) Maugans, Breece Gullett, Brayan Gullett, Derrick (Tasha) Gullett and Jarred (Jenna Zimmerman) Gullett; 6 great-grandchildren; Paxton Gilbert, Cecilia Maugans, Luka Maugans, Link Gullett, Knox Gullett, Jason Gullett and Jude Zimmerman; 1 brother Lewis "Bud" Clemmons; 2 brothers-in-law, Gary Gilbert and Gene Smith and 1 sister-in-law, Jean Gilbert; 2 sisters, Bonnie (Larry Childers) Rodgers and Brenda Pate. Special mention for Lillard and Bertha Slaton.
Funeral services are Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Bobby F. Reed Jr. officiating. Burial in Carlisle at the New Jersey Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
