Louis Garrett

Louis"Bert" Garrett, age, 85 of Franklin, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. He was born April 29, 1930 in Ennis, Kentucky the son of Roy and Mary (Pendley) Garrett.

Bert was formerly employed with GM for 30 years, he was a member since 1960 at Pennyroyal Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and taught Sunday School. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his; son, Bruce and 2 brothers, Lloyd and John Garrett, a sister, Edna Muriel O'Hara, and his parents.

Bert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elsie Darlene Garrett; his son, Mark D. Garrett; a daughter, Beth A. Garrett; sister, Hazel Finley; 5 grandchildren, Brittany, Luke, Tyler, Janet and Jacob and 1 great grandchild, Olivia.

Funeral service will be Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 East Second Street, Franklin with Pastor Josh Clifford officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Please visit www.anderson-fh.com to send an online condolence.
