Lucian Vaughn, 80, of Franklin, went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born August 25, 1940 in Jackson County, Kentucky, the son of Charlie and Myrtle (Dunn) Vaughn.
Lucian was a member of the House of Prayer in Franklin, Ohio for nearly 40 years. He retired from Logan Long after nearly 30 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Doug) Emrick and Pamela (Russell) Adams; grandchildren, Jennifer Carswell, Richie (Melissa) DeVotie, Zachary (Chelsey) DeVotie, Tiara Goddard and Tyler (Ellie) Goddard; great grandchildren, J’ronnie Mcgraw, Ronnika Mcgraw, Brantley Mahan, Lane DeVotie, Charlee Goddard, and Sawyer DeVotie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and 3 sisters-in-law.
Lucian was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Phyllis V. Vaughn, who passed away 10 days prior; grandson, Thomas Lewis; brothers, George and Arthur Vaughn; and his sisters, Audrey Greer, Ruth Bell, Margaret Pugh, and Ethal Seals.
A visitation will take place from 6-8 PM on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the House of Prayer in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday at the church with Pastor Roger Mullins officiating. Lucian will be laid to rest with his wife at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown.
