Marcille Weatherwax

Marcille M. Weatherwax, 89 of Dublin, Ohio formerly of Middletown, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 24, 1925 in Lewisburg, Ohio the daughter of Edgar Singer Woolf and Marie Price Woolf. Marcille graduated from Brookville High School, attended Miami University and graduated from Middletown Hospital School of Nursing. She belonged to the Browns Run Country Club and Wildwood Golf Course, where she was an avid golfer, the Middletown Hospital Nurses Alumni group and the First United Methodist Church. Marcille was active in the Middletown Symphony, Arts in Middletown, and the Middletown Hospital Auxiliary, and had been a member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Russell Sage Weatherwax, Jr. in 2013; her parents; a brother, Robert Woolf; and two sisters, Lucille Good and Hazel Ann Shoe. Marcille is survived by her daughter, Trudy husband, James McWhirt of Mandeville, Louisiana and son, Thomas wife, Mary Weatherwax of Dublin, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer McWhirt, Mandeville, Louisiana, Julie husband, Ryan Kenter of New Orleans, Louisiana, Rebecca Weatherwax of Columbus, Ohio, and John wife, Angie Weatherwax of Dublin, Ohio; six great grandchildren, Caroline, Reese, and Marcie Kenter, Emma, Kate and Sage Weatherwax; two sisters-in-law, Pat Bowman of Monroe, Ohio and DeOnne Woolf of Phillipsburg, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 30 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend John Wagner officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery.
