Margaret L. Gilbert

Margaret L. "Peggy" Gilbert, age 91, of Carlisle, Ohio, died Thursday October 5, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on March 14, 1926 to Charley and Carrie (King) Longworth. Margaret was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Franklin. She was employed with General Motors for 32 years and retired in 1977. She was preceded in death by her father, Charley Longworth, mother, Carrie Longworth, husband, Green Gilbert, son, Charles Kenneth Hill, grandson, Elijah Gilbert, brothers, Paul Longworth, Don Longworth, Damon Longworth, Glen Longworth, Wilbert Longworth, Carl Longworth, Harold Longworth, sister, Mary Scauzillo. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Marcella (Paul) Gilbert; two grandsons, Seth Gilbert, Charlie Hill; three granddaughters, Sydney Gilbert, Kari Gilbert, Peggy Morelock; and brother, Lewis (Iva) Longworth. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Monday October 9, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Bobby F. Reed Jr. officiating.
