

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, John Urban Calsacy in 1966 and by her mother, Martha Margaret (McGlaughlin) Calsacy in 1987.
She was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 1949. She was a graduate of Miami University, University of Minnesota and of the University of Detroit.
Marilyn retired from Middletown City Schools. She was an elementary teacher at Amanda Elementary School and a Resource teacher for the visually impaired at Taft and Wildwood Elementary Schools. She was a teacher consultant for the Visually Impaired Children in the North Suburban Special Education District in Northfield, Illinois.
In 1966, Marilyn received the high honor of "Outstanding Young Women of America." Marilyn was a member of the Amanda United Methodist Church and the Amanda United Methodist Women. Marilyn belonged to the Dayton Alumnae Chapter Sigma Sigma Sigmna, Monroe Current Events, and the Otterbein Auxiliary.She was a member of the Winsome Wardrobes Doll Club, and the Ohio Valley Doll Collectors Club. She enjoyed the Middletown Mad Hatters Club, the Monroe High Hatters Club and The Star City Babes.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.To cherish her memories is her dear friend and her many loving cousins.
Marilyn chose Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home for her service. The visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am Wednesday, November 9, and the funeral will follow at 11:00 am. She chose to be buried at Woodside Cemetery with her mother and father.
