Jeanie, I am so sorry for your loss. I always remember her kindness and love for others. It shone like a beacon. She and my momma will sure be glad to see each other. Hugs and prayers for you. I wish I could have made it to the service.

Today I said my earthly goodbye to my Mom. The day that I have been dreading for a long time. My mother was an amazing woman. She was the strongest person I've ever known. I can't begin to share all my precious memories. There are simply too many. She saw me through happiness and despair. During my many battles, Mom was my biggest cheerleader. During the loss of my husband fifteen years ago, her love and prayers kept me here with those who needed me. Mom had a love for children that many felt. If she said she would pray for you, then she did. She loved and valued my son as her own child. Her great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved Jesus and I know she's with Him now and has been reunited with those who passed before her. If she ever told you that she loved you, know that you were indeed loved with passion.

I am very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful lady.

I will remember Granny as an independent, strong, honest, loving woman. Her strength and determination during times when she should have been down has inspired me to be strong during my times of trial. Romans 5:3 reads that we should rejoice in our tribulations because out of tribulations comes perseverance. She reminds of this verse because even when she would be having a hard day or feeling bad she would insist on being a servant and making sure her family knew she loved them. She would ignore her pains and trials to rejoice in our time together which ultimately, not only strengthened her, but also those around her. I think through the years she practiced to turn her tribulations into perseverance. She was a beautiful woman who accepted my children and myself into her family as her own. Her spirit lives on through those who knew her love. Peace be with all those grieving; may strength come from your trials.

Hey Im Max her great grandson. I used to like to garden with granny. I would pick her weeds and she would give me some money so I could go to the dollar tree. We would have a fun christmas. I loved her cheeseball.

Hey im Alyvia, Marjorie or as i called her Granny was an amazing grandmother even through we were brought together by a pieces of paper it was still love. She was strong and always wanted to cook. I remember one time I offered to make dinner because she said she was pretty tired but I lost in that fight and she made us a full buffet. She was very loving and was always up for shearing her bingo money for Zoe and I to get candy and sweets. I send love to all of her family.

I will Love and Miss her always. I use to be her neighbor for 30 years. I have known her for at least 40 years.I will miss her so very much. She was like a Mom to me.I hope she knew how much I loved her.She will be missed by me more than anyone knows. Brenda Perry.

My Precious Aunt Margie, was such a strong lady. My aunt has always been so supportive and has always been there for me and my family. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has surely gained another angel.

I'm Zoe. Marjorie Combs was my great grandma, but I knew her as Granny since I was born. Losing her was a tragedy, truly affecting us all. She was loved by everyone, and she will be missed very much. She was a very strong woman, an amazing mother, a loving grandmother, and a phenomenal great-grandmother.

My name is Larry Sorrell, I have a 91 year old mother who lived across the street from this wonderful lady. Marjorie used to walk over and see my mother. It was the highlight of moms day. When I told my mother of Marjorie's  death, she started crying. GOD has a new angel now, but Marjorie will be missed by both young and old in this life.

I'm so glad to have known Marjie.  When my daughter married her grandson last year in a mountain cabin in North Carolina, we got to know each other a little more.  As we decorated the cabin for the wedding, she was able to makeup for my inability to make pretty bows and we joked about that all evening.  Ever since my daughter started dating Billy several years ago, she always accepted my grandchildren as her own and became granny to them very quickly.  Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful influence and loving presence she has been in our lives.
