

Marjorie White MacDonald, age 85, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1926, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of James A. White and Myrtle Grow White. Marjorie was a graduate of Muskingum College. She was active in Monroe Current Events Club and in the Monroe United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ed MacDonald; one son, John Jennifer MacDonald of Monroe; two daughters, Karen Tim Williams of Middletown, Cheryl Bill Helsinger of Monroe; nine grandchildren, Kellie David Gomia, Jodie Williams, Ryan Williams, Rachel Pete Howard, Rebekah Kenny Trimbach, Jason Tessa MacDonald, Amie MacDonald, Emily Essig, Jake Essig; four great grandchildren, Alex and Karson Gomia, RJ Williams, William Howard; and one sister, Mary Evans of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and one brother. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Dr. Tim Waugh officiating. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM, Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Mound Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Monroe United Methodist Church, or American Cancer Society – Grandma Groupies Relay of Life Team.
