Martha Bradshaw

Martha L. Bradshaw, age 71 of Carlisle, Ohio passed away at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio on September 3, 2026. Born in Dayton, Ohio on December 26, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Bennie & Margaret (Fry) Norris. Martha was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1973, and later went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at McKendree University, class of 2008, in Lebanon, Illinois. Martha attended many Lutheran churches over the years, and recently New Hope Lutheran Church in Middletown. On June 2, 1973, she married the love of her life, John (“Reggie”), and spent the next years of her life being a devoted mother, and a proud US Air Force wife for 32 years with seven stateside tours and two assignments in the United Kingdom. In her free time, she loved to shop, play mahjong, go antiquing, and loved being with her family and friends. She loved her dachshund fur babies "Sadie" and "Dumplin", sunflowers, reading books, going to Christian conferences, and being a good and faithful servant. Her infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her. She was an accomplished decorator and made every holiday special.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother and father in laws, John Bradshaw and Alice & Webster Bradshaw; sister Donna Howard and brother-in-law Steve Schraub. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Lt Col John R. Bradshaw, USAF (ret); sons Chris & Teri Lynn Bradshaw; Terry & Susan Bradshaw; six beloved grandchildren, brother Kenny & Kim Norris; in-laws Vern & Janice Bradshaw; Faye & Dave Borden; Rhonda & Craig Miller; Muriel & Alan Taylor; Norma Schraub; special cousin Jackie Purkey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 - 1:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005.
