Martha Roberts

Martha Jo Roberts, age 88, of West Chester, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Chesterwood Village. She was born May 27, 1923, in Eaton, Ohio, the daughter of Clifford Cottingham and Inez Buck Cottingham. Martha Jo worked as a librarian at the public library and at West Elkton Elementary School for 32 years. She was a member of the West Elkton Friends Meeting where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Roberts of West Chester; one son, A. Gregory Roberts of Dublin, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Cameron and Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin C. Roberts in 1983; her parents; and one sister, Geraldine Scott. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at the Chesterwood Village Chapel, 8073 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Fairmound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243. Arrangements are by the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
