Mary M. Powell

She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Powell, daughter, Tony Fugate, three brothers, Wilbur Kindred, Millard Kindred, Ralph Kindred and sister, Gertrude Frank.

Mary was always busy with her church work, teaching Sunday school, Bible School and Crafts.

She was a member of the Covenant Christian Center, life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 149 where she was past president, Deardoff Senior Center, Red Hats, Ding-A-Lings, Chours, Wrinkle Revue and Greater Miami Valley Doll Club. Here she spent time making and selling dolls and traveling all over the united states for trade show competitions.

Mary loved her community and helped sponsor the Franklin High School Art Show. She also loved her special group of friends the "Stitch Angels" who met weekly to make quilts for the orphans of Warren County and nursing homes.

Mary was never idle and loved to sew making neck pillows, walker bags, lap robes for nursing homes. Her church and family always came first in her life.

Mary is survived by two sons, Billy L. Powell, Ronald Powell; two sisters, Beatrice Hamilton and Ruth Shuppert.

Funeral services are 10:00 am Friday, June 29, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Dave Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm also at the funeral home.
