One of my favorite teachers at Hardin Elementary.  Such a sweet lady that truly poured into her students.  Prayers to her family.

Mary was a classmate of mine at Crestview Elementary/Junior high and North High, so I knew her for a lot of years.    It has been many years since we last talked, but  I have many fond memories of her and share your sorrow in her passing.

Sorry for your loss.   In reading the other memories, Mary was obviously a wonderful teacher. Mary and I were friends in elementary school and junior high at Crestview in Col. and at Columbus North High school.

Miss Dearth was my Kindergarten and 5th grade teacher, along with being my Brownie leader.  She made a significant impact on my life. Her kind and caring personality made me feel very special. Every memory is positive. Her family is so blessed  as she was an amazing woman.  She made a difference in my life and so many others. Please accept my sympathies.

My heart just literally shattered....she was my 5th grade teacher. And because if her my love of writing came. I couldn't have asked for such a better teacher to pour into me as she did. You are already missed.

I’m sorry for your loss. I had Mary as my 3rd grade teacher until she had to go out on medical leave. She was a wonderful woman! Caring and sweet. I will always remember her!

I have always remembered Mary, or Miss Dearth as we called her at school, for teaching my 5th grade class back in 1975-76 at Hardin Elementary School in Shelby County, Ohio.  While this school building was razed quite some time ago, those memories have stayed with me all these years as if they were more recent.  I can honestly say that she was my favorite teacher during my K-12 experience and beyond.  She was always happy and had a good sense of humor with me and my classmates...a great teacher, lady, and so much more.  Even though I have not seen Mary in decades, I am touched with a sense of sadness that I am sure pales in comparison to those actively in her life.  May God bless and keep you and yours, Mary.  You will continue to be a part of fond memories for me as my 5th grade teacher.

So sorry for your loss. Mary was such an amazing women, friend teacher.  She made a huge impact on my life, we kept in touch for along time. We meet up at her house  had lots of talks. Best teacher I ever had. You will be dearly missed.

I still can't believe that my sister has passed away.  I know that your
hearts are broken and so is mine.  Mary was a good sister.  She was
a good listener.  We had a lot of laughs over the years.  I know that
you miss her so very much.  But even though I can't talk with her
anymore, I know that she is at peace and no longer in pain.  May

We are saddened to hear of Mary’s passing.  She was a very special leader of our youth group at St. Mary’s in Greenville.  I volunteered and witnessed how the youth loved her.  I believe our son is a very faithful catholic today because of her example and inspiration.  Our sympathies to her family, Marv, Millie, Eric & Ashton Stammen.
