Michael Lee Alcorn, age 71, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. Born on January 29, 1955, Michael lived a life filled with dedication to his work, a deep love for nature, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Michael retired from Square D in Middletown, Ohio, where he was a respected and hardworking colleague. Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy in nature. Whether he was casting a line while fishing or spending a quiet morning golfing, he treasured his time under the open sky. His greatest passion, however, was his horses. Michael spent countless hours working with his horse, bringing it to the track, and watching horse races, a hobby that brought him immense happiness.
Above all, Michael loved his family greatly. His grandchildren and his great-grandchildren were truly the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent watching his family grow.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley Alcorn; his beloved son, Jody Alcorn; and his two brothers, Randy Alcorn and Andy Alcorn.
He is survived by his son, Michael James Alcorn; his granddaughter, Maranda Meehan (John); his grandson, Cager Alcorn; his brother, Dan Alcorn (Karen); his sisters, Janet Mullins and Sandy (Brandon) Mitchell; and his dear aunt, Brenda Gould. He also leaves behind his seven precious great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Brody, Delilah, Lucas, Marilyn, Addely, and Olivia, as well as a large, loving circle of extended family members and close friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday August 15, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH from 11am to 1pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm with David Zornes officiating.
