Michael Dougherty

Michael A. Dougherty, age 73 of Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. Born in Middletown, Ohio on August 19, 1953 he was a son to the late Russell & Carma (Bowlin) Dougherty.

Michael retired from Sorg Paper Company in 1998 serving in the beater room and third hand. In his free time you could find him watching NASCAR races, Bengals and OSU football games, working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren fishing hunting . He will be missed by those who knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters Wilma Phillips; Dora Ratliff and Laverne Long: brothers Winfred, Wendell, Wilburn, Larry, Gary and Lowell Dougherty.

Survived by his wife of 43 years, Vonda (Crase) Dougherty: sons Brian (Jess) of Columbus; Devin (Miranda) of Franklin: brothers David (Ginger) Dougherty; Thomas (Vicki) Dougherty; Darrell (Barbara) Dougherty: sisters Lavonne Schuler; Kathy (Vick) Stamper: granddaughters Claira of Columbus and Glorianna of Franklin.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00- 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005. There will not be a service at the funeral home, as we are having a graveside service following visitation with Pastors Valentina Holly Grubb and Gene Baughn presiding. Burial at Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospitals, or Hospice of Butler Warren County.
