

Mickey (legal names Mishka) Rabuka was born August 25, 1934 to Michael and Gladys Rabuka at his maternal grandfather Cooke's farm house in the community of Oak Grove Heights, Missouri, and died on June 10, 2025. His paternal grandfather "Big" Mike Rabuka emigrated from Russia to Canada in 1903, where Mickey's father was born and raised. Mickey's parents taught school in Colorado and Missouri before moving to Madison College in 1946 where in 1948 Mickey graduated from the eighth grade. He spent the next two years in Haiti where his parents taught in the mission school. There he completed three years of classwork in two years and returned to Madison College Academy graduating in 1951. After a year at Canadian Union College he returned to Madison College Academy and completed the x-ray and medical lab technology courses. During his academy and college studies at Madison he worked at a number jobs including the laundry, dairy, garbage truck driver, an attendant in the hospital locked units, on "shock" team, x-ray, and lab. Having become registered in both lab and x-ray he left for a position doing both in a small hospital- and soon got drafted into the Army. After a two year stint he returned to Madison and graduated for the fifth time from college in 1959. A few years later he graduated from The George Washington University with an MBA in Hospital Administration. His working career was spent in senior hospital administration position, with some 20 years in SDA facilities. He is survived by his wife , Eugenia, daughter Seree Peterson, sons Michael and Brian, 7 grandchildren, sisters Madeline McCrary and Sue Flynn, nephews, niece and cousins.
