Mona Ward

Mona Ward, age 99 of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. Mona was born in Owsley County, KY on May 12, 1917 to the late Lee and Zilla (Plowman) Brandenburg.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Bair; second husband, Ben Ward; son, Arvy Bair and five siblings.

Mona worked for General Motors until her retirement in 1981 after 30 years of service. She and her first husband Elmer Bair owned/bulit Triangle Fishing Lake in Middletown, OH. Mona loved gardening, playing solitaire, cooking and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would also like to say a special thanks to Michelle, Mary, Brandy, and Cheryl for the care given to Mona and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Edith (Dale) Kohler; son, Mervin Bair; four grandsons, Mike Bair, Tommy Bair, Justin (Brittany) Bair, Martin Kohler; two granddaughters, Suzanna (Mike) Humbert, Lynn Kohler; three great grandchildren, Jasmine, Cruz, Nash and sister Beatrice Alexander.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street Franklin,Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm also at the funeral home with Pastor Frank Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
