
Nellie Lou Baker, age 79, of Franklin, passed away on Monday December 18th at Franklin Ridge Nursing Center. A native of Booneville Kentucky, she was born on February 23, 1938 to Clarence and Orley Wilder. Nellie was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School. She was a licensed beautician, a former employee at the Zink Meat Market in Franklin and the Otterbein Home in Lebanon. More than anything she was a devoted wife of more than 50 years and a selfless mother. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Wilder, mother, Orley Gay Wilder, husband, Richard Baker, sister, Chessie Mae Hamilton, and brothers, Danny and Russell Wilder. Nellie is survived by her two sons, Dave and Doug (Kathy) Baker; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services are Wednesday December 20 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Todd Wallen officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am till the start of the service at Anderson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff at Franklin Ridge for their care and making her feel so much like a part of their family.No matter what the situation, Nellie was known for a relentless sense of humor and her distinctive laugh.
