Otis Turner

Otis Turner, age 93, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Otis was born in Warren County, Ohio on November 12, 1929 to the late Arnel and Bertha (Stewart) Turner.

He was employed at N.C.R. Corporation for 28 years and then worked as a correction officer at Lebanon Correctional Institute until he retired in February 1992 after 16 years. He was named Officer of the Year in 1984.

Otis was preceded by his parents, brothers, Elmer and Stanley and sisters, Bessie and Opal. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Anna (Marshall) Turner; his sister, Frances (Turner) Peters; children, Judith (Larry) Weaver and Larry Turner; grandchildren, Katie (Scott)Laney, Nick, Nathan and Randall (Amy) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Zoey and McKinna Laney, Justin, Jeremy, Bryce, Joanna and Raegan Weaver; great-great grandchildren, Haili, Navaeh and Braden Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Roberts Drive Pentecostal Church, 9569 Roberts Drive, Franklin with Pastor Jimmy Jewell officiating. Interment will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors at the Anderson Funeral Home- Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
