Phyllis Jean Zier of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed on July 26, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born November 19, 1931 to Walter and Myrtle Stephens. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary, Margaret and Walter Stephens Jr. and husband, Alberto Zier. Phyllis was a nurse who served her community and raised four sons who all proudly served their country.
Phyllis is survived by sons, Richard (Margaret) Lawrence, Maysville, Kentucky, Robert Lawrence, Miami, Florida, Roger (Elizabeth) Lawrence, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Walter (Vivian) Lawrence, Salem, Alabama. Several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a beautiful singer who sang with Billy Graham in the 60's and was always in demand for local events, churches, weddings and funerals. She grew up in Ohio but spent the last 50 years living in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she and her husband, Alberto had multiple retail stores and worked hard until retirement. She was so strong through adversity. Graveside Service will be 10am Saturday August 1, 2026 at the New Jersey Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Carlisle, Ohio
