Randy Emrick

Randy Emrick, age 63, Middletown, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. Randy was born in Middletown, OH on April 18, 1954 to George and Norma (Royse) Emrick. He retired in 2003 after 31 years (Cold Strip Picklers/AK Steel).

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Emrick, and great-grandson, Bryson Schrul.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Shannon (Powell) Emrick; brother Larry (and Janet) Emrick; three children, Shandi (and Charlie) Farquer, Christopher (and Shawna) Emrick, and Creighton Emrick; ten grandchildren, Zachary (and Rachel), Alexis, Kennedy Farquer, McCorey Abbott, Austin Emrick, Jaidon , Eva Emrick, Aimee Richmond, Abigail Emrick, and Brayden Emrick as well as his seven great-grandchildren, Reagan, Morgan, Peyton, Logan, Bailey Brown, Carter Farquer and Evaughna Schrul.

A gentle giant known for his humor, warmth and to those closest to him, his musical and artistic hands, Randy left this earth after a second and once again, courageous fight against cancer. Beloved greatly by family and friends, his cool, accepting presence and contagious laugh, though missed, will visit us, again and again, through the love and laughter of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of us lucky enough to love him back, in the time that we had with him here, and lucky enough for all the jokes, love, and big, warm hugs that will linger on, within us all. Forever happy

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 5-7 pm at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home.
