Raymond "Butch" Hanson Sturgis, age 71, of Carlisle, Ohio, died Thursday June 23, 2016 at Sycamore Medical Center. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 23, 1945 to Raymond and Barbara (Schmidt) Sturgis. Raymond graduated from Carlisle High School in 1964 and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1995. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hanson Sturgis, Sr., mother, Barbara Louise Sturgis, and brother, Jerry Sturgis. Raymond is survived by his two sisters, Linda Neff, Kathy Taulbee; brother, and John (Mary) Sturgis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 am Monday June 27, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with military honors.
