Rebecca Jane (Harrison) Braunlin, age 72, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Jane was born in Middletown, Ohio on June 5, 1950, the first child of John and Shirley (O’Hara) Harrison.
Jane was kind, quiet, and loving, and always put others ahead of herself. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Miami University, earning a degree in Art Education, although she chose to work in the medical field. She lived the majority of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she worked at University Hospital, the Jewish Hospital, the Christ Hospital, and the Lindner Center of Hope, over the span of forty years. Jane loved all types of art, but her favorites were live music performances and ceramics. She recently began to take ceramics classes again after a long hiatus, and she was so excited to create art again. She loved to spend time with her family, to read, be in the garden, research genealogy, and go antiquing. Jane had a special fondness for the foothills outside of Berea, Kentucky, where many of her ancestors were from.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Harrison, as well as her brother Johnny Harrison and her sister Bess Nicholson. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Braunlin-Jones, her son-in-law, Jeffrey Jones, and her two grandchildren, Aidan and Olivia Jones, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her former husband/turned-friend Michael Braunlin (Susan), her sister Judy Ellis (Jeff), her sister Pam Stroshein, her brother Wes Harrison, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation is Monday, November 7, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005 from 4-6 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm with the Reverend Russell Smith officiating.
