Reverend Lonnie Richard Gabbard, 74 of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born April 3, 1942 in West Alexandria, Ohio the son of Joel Gabbard and Elizabeth (Combs) Gabbard. Lonnie worked in construction. He was a member of the Healing Word Church. Lonnie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma (Noe) Gabbard; his children, Paula (Dwayne) Thornton, Michael (Rebecca) Gabbard, Jason (Rachael) Gabbard; grandchildren, Lindsay, Nicholas, Andrew and Christopher; two sisters, Janet Holbrook, and Roseanne (David) Lyall; brother, Joseph (Tammy) Gabbard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, William and John Gabbard.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Healing Word Church with Pastor Donald Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Miami Cemetery, Waynesville, Ohio.
