

Born on February 27, 1948, in Covington, Kentucky, Rich was the son of the late Clarence and Viola (Rache) Manning.
Rich was a graduate of Campbell County High School and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, where he worked in Intelligence. Following his military service, he attended Miami University and Eastern Kentucky University, earning a Ph.D. in American History. Rich dedicated 26 years to Western Southern Life Insurance, where he served as a manager before retiring in 2016.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Wanda.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Marie Manning; his children, Jenniffer Young, Jeff (Erica) Manning, Cari (Bobby) Frazier, and Scott (Ashlee) Medley; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tim Sheets. Military honors will be presented before the service.
