Robert "Bobby G" Gaylor, born June 30, 1947, passed away on May 25, 2020 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Burdetta, of 54 years since 1966; brother Jack and his wife Betty, of Fl.; sister Nancy and her husband Tom, of Fl.; sons Bobby and wife Lisa, Timothy and wife Meg, and Michael; 3 grandsons Bobby, Ethan, and Jack, and one granddaughter Ella; and many nieces, nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth Gaylor, and brother Dale. He loved watching his children and grandchildren's achievements.
Starting in 1966 he was a General Contractor, (Gaylor Construction Co. Inc.). He built many homes in Dayton, Springboro, and Centerville in Ohio. Also several houses in Georgia for more than 20 years. Retired as a Journeyman tool maker and engineer, attained his Fellowship in the Moose Lodge in Miamisburg. He was an active member of the Springboro Eagles Aerie 4014. He directed the choir and children's choir at St. Mary's Parish in Franklin, he was also a Cantor at St. Mary's under Father Bruening. He was an assistant football coach for Springboro 8th grade. Bobby G started his Karaoke and DJ business (Bobby G Entertainment) in 1995. Bob attained many awards for his singing ability. He created and played in several bands, including "The Cobras" (1963), "The Blues Rockers" (early 90's). He did many benefits for the Special Needs, and other organizations. He was a school bus driver in Springboro and Lebanon Schools, and a Special Needs driver for OTS.
Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Ln, Dayton, OH 45459. Visitation held one prior at church.
