Robert L Longworth

Robert L. Longworth age 89 of Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 16, 2026 at Atrium Medical Center, Middletown, Ohio. Born in Whitley County, Kentucky on February 10, 1937, he was one of 12 children born to the late Charles Grant & Carrie May (King) Longworth. Robert retired from General Motors after 47 years. He then spent some time as a baker before finishing his working life as a travel agent. He was a devoted member of Riverview Baptist Church in Franklin for nearly 65 years, a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and a distinguished Kentucky Colonel. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, watching UK sports and horseracing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and will be terribly missed by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers, 3 sisters, and grandson Robert Clyde Helsinger.

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ivaleen (Brummett) Longworth, whom he married on October 18, 1958: children Sheryl & Tom Helsinger; Carl & Tammy Longworth: grandchildren Allison Helsinger & fiance' Brandon Lee; Alex & Samantha Helsinger; Kelsei & Joey Edwards; Kyle & Kate Longworth: great-grandchildren Harper, Hailey, Hayden, Daphne, Amelia, & Margaret: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral service to follow at 12PM with Rev. David Longworth & Rev. Don McMurray presiding. Burial to follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Life Connections, 2800 Donation Circle
