Robert Lee McGuire

Robert Lee "Bubo" McGuire, age 74, of Franklin, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Thursday April 6, 2017. He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on May 21, 1942 to Green and Monnie (Bailey) McGuire. Bubo was Entertainer of the Year in Country Music Independent Label for three consecutive years, one year in Gospel Music, and had a record that was Gold in International Sales. He was preceded in death by his father, Green McGuire, mother, Monnie McGuire, brothers, Ray, Clyde, Michael, Russell McGuire, sisters, Magdalene Robinson, Shirley Willis, Ella Rose Johnson, grandchildren, Jacob and Taryn McGuire. Bubo is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Durham McGuire two sons, Robbie (Cathy) McGuire, Bruce (Tammy) McGuire; two daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Turnmire, Kathy (David) Creech; three brothers, James (Cassie), Jackie (Janice) , Forest "Bittie" (Betty) McGuire; two sisters, Janice (Dean) Turner, Helen Fletcher; grandchildren, Josh (Shelly) McGuire, Leigh Anne (Steven) Burnett, Ashley and Zach Turnmire, Cody McGuire, Matthew (Shelbi) McGuire, Kyle and Kayla Creech, Jason and Travis Smiddy; 9 great grandchildren, Eli, Abby, Emma, Carson, Callie, Lillie, Taryn, Lincoln, and Liam. Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Route 4 Holiness Pentecostal Church 2968 Dayton Pike, Germantown, OH with Pastor Jimmy Jewel officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
