Robert E. Rickard

Rickard, Robert E., age 82, of Carlisle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Franklin, Ohio on October 31, 1938, the son of the late Robert F. and Lillian (Isbell) Rickard. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Linda (Adams) Rickard; four children, Robert S. (Susan) Rickard, Susanne (Pat) Holmes, Thomas (Michelle) Rickard, Dawn Carpenter; brothers and sisters, Beverly Brewer, Mary (Bob) Chandler, Fred (Jill) Rickard, Mike Rickard, Janet (Bo) Davis; grandchildren, Lauretta, Heather, Nicole, Blake, Courtney, Brody, Dawson, Sophie, Will, Kendall and Kara; great-granddaughter, Shayleigh. He is also survived by his faithful companion and walking buddy, Zoey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert proudly served his country for 14 years in the United States Air Force and retired from AK Steel as Rail Road Bob after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Middletown. Jack of all trades and master of none, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and camping.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Anderson Funeral Home-Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street with Reverend Roger Green officiating. Entombment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Trenton. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
