I would like to send my sincere and deepest sympathy for your loss.  What a wonderful lady.  I feel blessed to have known and worked with Rosalie. My memories of working with her are all so positive. She made the world a better place and will be missed by so many.

I regret that I was out of town and not able to attend her visitation but certainly had the whole family in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to all.

Lit a candle in memory of Rosalie M. Yoakam

I met Rosalie when I joined the DAR eight years ago and we served several years on the board together.  She was a gifted, sweet and godly woman and I so enjoyed my time working with her in our chapter.  I know heaven is a much brighter place with Rosalie there now.  My thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort for Bill and Rosalie's daughters and for her entire extended family and friends.  Elizabeth Morabito

Mrs. Yoakam was a blessing to us when our son was in first grade. Her kindness, wisdom, and love :heart: were very evident the first time we met. I can only try to imagine the numbers of children, parents and others who were blessed as we were. Condolences to everyone who are saddened by her passing. :heart::hibiscus::rainbow:

For almost 40 years, I referred to her as "Rose". If she was ever offended by this abbreviation of her proper name, she was too gracious to ever mention it. I'm glad, because it was how I perceived her, with true admiration and respect. We were always amazed at her various accomplishments over the years, and marveled at the way she could find the time and energy to do the things she did. None more so than her involvement with children. It seemed she always found time to tutor, or help a child in need. We offer our heartfelt condolences to a most beautiful family whom we love dearly.

Yes Jake was and is one of our favorites!!  I often tell folks that he is the most famous student she ever had.  Thank you for the story about him.  I'm sure he was lots larger than other children his age and she was superb in making sure each unique needs for her students were met.  Please let Jake know he was special in all of our lives.

Such wonderful thoughts of this sweet lady.  She went above and beyond for our son Jake when he was in her 3rd grade class. He was extra tall at that age, not fitting in the desk comfortable, Mrs. Yoakum found a desk that could be adjust for his size.  He was also extra fidgety so he became her errand runner and flower tender to allow him reason to get up and move around .  These were the little things that made her special to us 
Mrs. Yoakum also connected Jake with Mrs. Paden and school became something he looked forward to .  Rest In Peace, The Ballard Family

I taught with Rosalie for several years.  She was the best.  Such a wonderful, kind, caring person.
