Roy Huey Dalton, age 91, a Franklin native, passed away at Atrium Medical Center, Middletown, Ohio on September 4, 2026. Roy was one of 11 children to the late Nathan & Vada (Hatfield) Dalton. Roy was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1955. Roy was a Proud United States Army Veteran, having served from 1958-1960 after getting drafted; he was stationed in San Antonio, Texas as an SP4 Ordinance Specialist. After his military service, he was employed by the Mound facility in Miamisburg as a health surveyor; he then provided 35 years of service to ARMCO Steel, retiring from lead Inspector. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Freda Evans whom he married August 27, 1955, and passed in 2008: a son, Brian Dalton: siblings Frank Dalton, Jay Dalton, Fred Dalton, Larkin Dalton, Robert Dalton, Ray Dalton, Gladys Lowman, Betty Jean Dalton and Edna Quigley.
Survived by his sons, Roy "Curtis" & Eve Dalton; Kevin Dalton: grandchildren Valerie & Jonathan Griffin; Monica & Mike Hall; Dustin & Cara Dalton; Kaleb Dalton; Anthony & Amy Dalton: 7 great-grandchildren: sister Evelyn & Bob Green: brother- in-laws Gene Baker; Ronnie & Brenda Evans: special companion Faye Bergman: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends along the way, and extended family members.
Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005.
