Roy Cecil Rhodus, age 82, of East Decker Road, Franklin, Ohio, passed to his eternal home on October 3, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, and reared in Kentucky, the son of Cecil B. and Vola (Reece) Rhodus.
He was a retired tool and die maker and apprentice meat cutter. He was a member of Franklin Lodge No. 55, F&AM.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Geneva M. (Jones) Rhodus; his loving daughter, Harriet “Missi” (Rhodus) Frasik, and son-in-law, Tony Frasik; and his loving daughter-in-law, Tina (Urton) Rhodus.
He is also survived by five grandchildren: Teesha (David) Hillard, Christopher Roy (Taylor) Rhodus, Allyson (Zach) Hembree, Tonya (Matt) Music, and Austin (Carley) Frasik; great-grandchildren, Maelee Bowman, Rhemington Hillard, Hueston and Harlow Hembree, Liam and Lane Music, Crew and Beau Frasik; 51 nieces and nephews; eight cousins; and his aunt, Vicki Reece.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Martharene Maupin and Linda (Joey) Hutchins, and one brother, Randall (Barbara) Rhodus.
He was preceded in death by his son, Roy Ellis Rhodus; his parents, Cecil B. and Vola Rhodus; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Monroe and Mary Jones; four brothers, Ronnie, Alfred, Roger, and Michael Rhodus; two sisters, Brenda Rhodus and Teresa Hutchins; and four sisters-in-law, Dottie, Sarah, Jamie, and Kim Rhodus and one brother-in-law, Julian Maupin
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005, with Rev. Owen Moody and Pastor Ken Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens.
A memorial celebration will follow at a later date, to be determined, in Richmond, Kentucky.
