

January 1, 2024. She was born May 6th, 1941 in Springboro, Ohio and was the daughter of Raymond Vaughan & Martha (Hartley) Click. Ruth was the youngest of seven siblings.
During her early life, Ruth had 3 children and worked at Frigidaire. She was a very skilled writer and wrote numerous poems and won several awards for her poetry. Ruth was also a well-known and successful Realtor in the area and graduated from Miami University. She also enjoyed and spent time volunteering at local hospitals.
When she was not working, writing, or selling homes, you could find Ruth traveling, exercising, or spending time with her grandkids. Tennessee and Florida were her two favorite travel destinations.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Bob Scearce (passed away July 11, 2021), 3 brothers Edward “Sonny”, Denver & Jack Vaughan and by her 3 sisters, Dorothy Jean Musgrove, Geneva Vaughan & June “Sandy” Palizzi. Also, her daughter Renee Holbert and son Craig Mercer.
She is survived by her daughter Marla Rogers and grandkids Dylan & Danielle Cohee, Jessica Rogers, Tricia Richardson, Rebecca Molloy, Danny Rogers, Sam Rogers, Micah Rogers, Kevin Holbert, Kayla (Holbert) Voris. Also her husband’s son Butch & wife Tonia Scearce (4 kids: Trey, Brittany, Bradley, and Bethany). As well as many relatives on the Vaughan side of the family and numerous other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, Ohio on January 27, at 11:00 am
