Ruth C Wright

Ruth (Centers) Wright, age 82, formerly of Middletown, OH, died surrounded by family, Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the home of her niece, Lisa McKinney, in Fairfield Township. Ruth was born in Middletown, OH on August 16, 1944 to the late Clint Gilbert and Della (Bellamy) Centers.

Ruth was a Registered Nurse for 35 years with Kettering Hospital and St. Joe Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. She began her nursing career as a candy striper at Middletown Regional Hospital at the age of 18. She was an oncology nurse for 20 years of her career. She dedicated her life to taking care of others, both in her profession, and in her personal life.

Ruth was a devout Christian and was a member for many years at Towne Boulevard Church of God, then most recently at Monroe First Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Wright; her son, Jeffrey Kevin Wright; her brothers, Charles W. Centers, Lowell Centers; her sisters, Irene Centers and Marjorie Elam. Ruth is survived by her stepson, George C. Wright; her stepdaughter, Robin K. Wright; her brother, John Centers; and her sister, Ruby Johnston, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Middletown.
