

Scott Dean "Hogg Head" Bowling, age 60, of Middletown, OH; went home to live with Jesus on Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Kettering Health Main Campus. Scott was born in Middletown, OH April 7, 1965 to the late Olgust and Loretta (Burnett) Bowling.
Scott was a graduate of Madison High School, class of 1984, he served in the US Navy for four years and was proud to continue the legacy of his father who also served our country. He was a welder during his enlistment and he continued that trade throughout his lifetime with various companies. Scott enjoyed playing Santa Claus where he put smiles on the faces of children and the residents that he lived with at the New Lebanon Home. He was a faithful member of Beechwood Church of God in Sommerville, OH. Scott started the Feed The Hungry Program from the back of his truck on a Coleman Stove in 2020 that served the Middletown Community. To this date the program has served over 8,000 people in our area.
In addition to his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Bowling; his brother-in-law, Gary Myers, his sister-in-law, Charlotte Bowling. He is survived by his brothers, Mike Bowling, Bob (Wilma) Bowling, David (Susan) Bowling, Olgust (Guyeula) Bowling Jr, his sisters, Sandy (Jim) Eckhardt, Jenny (Virgal) Fields, Jill (Greg) Carr, Sherrie Myers, his special relationship with nephew, Scott Warren Bowling, his special niece, Tina Bowling; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and a special friend, Billy Childers.
A Celebration of Life will be 2pm Sunday February 8, 2026 at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Reverend Doctor Gary Agee officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1pm until the time of the service. Military honors will be given at 4pm in appreciation of his service to our country.
The family would like to thank New Lebanon Rehabilitation, Astoria Health and Rehab, and Kettering Health Network Main Campus who helped Scott over the many years assisting him in his medical care.
