Scott Edward Collins “Tex # 27”, age 50 of Springboro passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday October, 17 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1970 in Winter Park, Florida to parents Joseph Michael and Linda Marie Collins (nee Mino).
Tex graduated from Anderson High School, where he was a standout football player and became a Division III All-American at Wittenberg University. After college he married the love of his life LeeAnn Collins (nee Wolfinbarger) and had two beautiful daughters, Charley, and Taylor. Scott was a very supporting and loving father, who loved his family more than life as well as being known as the # 1 fan for Taylor’s softball team, and was also the # 1 cheer dad. He also looked forward to every summer vacation with his family. Scott was an avid sports fan who loved spending the weekend watching the Florida Gators and the Dallas Cowboys with his best dog ever, Tucker; as well as loving to golf and looked forward to his may golf trips.
Scott is survived by his wife LeeAnn Collins; daughters Charley, and Taylor Collins; parents, Joseph (Linda) Collins; sister, Stacey (Michael) Noel; brother, Danny Collins; nieces, Tulip, and Sunny; nephews, Matthew, Ethan, and Woods.
Visitation will take place on Thursday October, 21 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, OH 45066. Funeral Service will take place on Friday October, 22 2021 at 10:00 am with Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, there has been a GoFundMe account set up in his memory for his daughters.
The family finds solace knowing he is surrounded by his loved ones in heaven, especially Big Red.
