

Sharon Diana Cowdrey, age 76, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on December 26, 2025 at Austin Trace. Sharon was born on September 20, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, to Kelin and Dorothy Hasty. She was the eldest of five children and spent her life devoted to caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelin and Dorothy Hasty; her son, Richy; and her husband, Richard. Sharon is survived by her siblings, Karen Lenhart, Robert Hasty (Patty), Jeff Hasty (Beverly) and Regina Hasty. She is also survived by her beloved children, Michelle Milligan, (Mike), Kelly Milligan (Rodney), Lacy Gurdon (Dominique), Melissa Green (Jeremy), Rachel Jenkins (Shawn), and Christy Cowdrey. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Leah Neal (EJ), Darren Milligan (Sydney), Dakota Milligan (Kristina), Brandy Milligan, (Dustin), Monique Lucas (Shaun), Lydia and Draego Gurdon, Emma Green, Jessa Jenkins, Lillyanne Jenkins and John Jenkins. Sharon was also a proud great grandmother to Jeramiah, Zoee, Raven, Hazel, Ellyson and Bentley. Sharon was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a loyal friend to many and was known for her warmth, humor, compassion and unwavering kindness.
A passionate nurse, Sharon worked for Kettering Health Network Main Campus for over 30 years, where she dedicated her career to caring for others. Beyond her profession, she devoted her life to her children and served as a foster parent for more than 20 years, opening her home and heart to over 40 children.
She believed strongly in teaching, guiding, and encouraging others in a positive way, helping to shape strong individuals who would carry her lessons forward each day. Sharon's legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
She was also the founder of MESH (Miamisburg Environmental Safety and Health), an organization created to help clean up the Miamisburg community, protect children, and address environmental concerns related to nuclear waste. In her personal time, Sharon found joy in gardening and had a deep love for plants, painting and crafts.
A visitation will be at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, OH on December 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will Wednesday December 31, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Benny Sutherland officiating. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Sharon's love, kindness, compassion, humor and devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
