Shirley A McCloud

Shirley A. McCloud, age 87 of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 12:05 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Born in Middletown on January 8, 1939, she was a daughter to the late Raymond & Gladys (Hastings) Myers. Shirley was many things to many people over the years, but to those who knew her best, she was the world.

Shirley was the epitome of unconditional love; she was comfort, strength, energy and sass, guidance, and always there. Shirley married the love of her life, Alva, on January 21, 1956, and over the next 70 years, they had 3 wonderful children, Robert (Susie) Lee; Teresa (Richard) Newland and Todd (Cindy) McCloud. Soon came grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Christopher, Eric, Courtney, Jacob and Whitney, and 5 lovely great-grandchildren. Shirley had 12 siblings, and is survived by her sister Annie (Darrell) Downing and her brother Bobby Myers. Shirley will be missed by so many, and carried on through the hearts of those who loved her, forever.

Friends are invited to a Funeral service for Shirley at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Danny Griffith presiding. Burial to follow at Springboro Cemetery. Fond memories may be shared at www.anderson-fh.com for the McCloud Family.
