Steven Posey

Steven Charles Posey, age 63, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Christ Hospital. He was born October 11, 1950 in Hartford City, Indiana, the son of Charles R. Posey and Charlotte Anderson Posey. Steve was owner and operator of McDonalds for 45 years, and owned Posey Property Company in Monroe. He served on the First Financial Bank Board, and also on Big Brothers Big Sisters Board. He was a member of Browns Run Country Club and was active with Posey Racing Team. Played Santa for Madison Township Fire Department for many years. His survivors include his wife of 37 years, Rhonda G. Cornett Posey; one daughter, Teagan Posey of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; one son, Zack Posey of Middletown; one grandson, Wyatt Benson; one sister, Suzy Stopper of Columbus, Ohio; two nephews, Chris Adams and John Turner; one niece, Molly Benson; cousins, Jim Anderson and Beth Winnebald; and a host of wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Vineyard Community Church, 4900 Ohio 123, Franklin with Reverend Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Visitation will be 5-9:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald charities.
