Susan Howell

Susan Renee Howell, age 43, of Fairfield, passed away Monday at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. She was born in Middletown, May 1, 1968, the daughter of John and Mary Back, and graduated from Preble Shawnee High School, where she played in the marching band. She later attended Rets Tech. She worked as an Electronics Technician at Northrop-Grumman, and became a military spec solderer. She loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, hiking and canoeing, and motorcycles. She was also an enthusiastic Reds and Bengals fan. Survivors include her parents; her siblings, Larry Back, Ronnie Bishop, June Nohitsch, Ann Turner, Marcella Brown, Sandra Barnett, Dennis Back and Charles Back; her significant other, Richard McFerron; many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews; and her dogs, Trixie, Sugar and Jimmy Jack. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Theresa Collier and Debbie Vice. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, May 6, at the Poasttown Church of God, officiated by Pastor Kenny Brewer. Interment will be in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, The family will then receive friends for a memorial dinner at 5 PM, at the Poasttown Church of God.
