

Smith, Thelma Jean, age 81, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jackson, KY on June 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Dewey and Lottie (Stone) Gross. She was also preceded in death by her son, Danny Lane Smith, grandson, Daniel Prichard , three sisters, Zola Maloney, Violet Angel, and Florence Gross, three brothers, Bill Gross, Dewey (Bug) Gross and Wylie (Ham) Gross. Thelma Jean is survived by her three children, Charlotte (Michael) Trebnik, Roger Smith and Benjamin (Heather) Smith; her former husband, Chester Smith; a sister, Judy Templin; two brothers, Walter Gross and George Gross; seven grandchildren, Candace (Tyler) Fausey, Amanda (John) Melke, Brittany Prichard, Courtney (Zack) Stansell, Shelby Smith, Gunnar Smith and Emma Smith; five great-grandchildren, Haylee Fausey, Courtney and Cara Johnston, Grayson and Sawyer Stansell and a great-great grandson, Gabriel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Thelma Jean was a member of The Christian Enterprise Church in Middletown. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin with Reverend Jimmie Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery in Monroe, OH. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
