
L. Theresa Oakley Blair Evans passed away June 6, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 1, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Mattie Oakley. She attended Columbus East High School and Capital University, Accounting, Columbus, Ohio. Theresa was the Co-Founder of the United Business Service in 1942, Universal Business Systems in 1967; founder of Terry's Office Equipment of Supplies in 1979 and past president of the Miami Valley Office Machine Dealer's Association. She was also an accomplished Pipe Organist at the Wilson Ave. Christian Church, Columbus, First Baptist Church, Franklin for over 20 years, First Lutheran Church, Franklin for over 5 years, First Baptist Church, West Carrollton, Normandy United Methodist Church, Centerville, Bellbrook United Methodist Church, South Minister United Presbyterian Church, Centerville, Church of Christ, Christian Church, Church of God, Nazarene Church, and the U.D. Chapel. Theresa was also a member of the Job's Daughters, Eastern Star, White Shrine, and Amaranth.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bobby Blair.
Theresa is survived by her best friend and confidant; Shadow; a son, G. Bradley Blair and numerous family, friends, and over a hundred adopted daughters and sons
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 9:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin). Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home with Amaranth service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Theresa's name to the Amaranth Scholarship Fund.
