Thomas, also known as TJ, was a faithful Christian who attended Lebanon Community Church and First United Methodist Church in Franklin. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was known for his determination. Once he set his mind to something, he saw it through. TJ was a beloved brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Proffitt; his mother, Carol A. Proffitt; and his best friend, Dick Lee.
He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Proffitt; and his three brothers, James (Lisa) Proffitt, Michael (Bonnie) Proffitt, and Steve Proffitt.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: James Proffitt Jr., Jeffery (Amanda) Proffitt, Jennifer C. (Brandon) Hillard, Andrea (Bryant) Hall, Nick Proffitt, Natalie Proffitt, and Alex Todd; his great-nieces and great-nephews: Jalynn Proffitt, Owen Proffitt, Brayden Hillard, Henry Proffitt, Amy Hillard, Ariah Proffitt, and Addison Grace Hall; and his great-great-nephew, Kohen Short. And his longtime friend, Jonathan Jones.
The Funeral Service will be 10am Friday July 31, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N Main St Springboro, OH with Pastor Michael B Proffitt officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
