Tom was a very proud, strong, self made man. He grew up on a tobacco farm in Kirksville Kentucky, which made work more important than schooling. This gave him an outstanding work ethic and made him a great provider for his family. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Harpers Construction for 50 years. Belonging to the local 18 operating engineers union. He loved telling stories to his family, friends and neighbors, as he never met a stranger. Tom loved to watch his westerns and Nascar. He loved sitting on his porch with Arlene and watching what the neighbors were doing. When he would go to the landmark restaurant he told everyone he was the President of the Liars Club there. I am sure the stories never stopped at the landmark.
He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, nurses, doctors and tellers at the bank.
Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005. A funeral service will be held at Noon, with burial to follow at Springboro Cemetery. Fond memories may be shared at www.anderson-fh.com for the Tussey Family.
