Troy B. Elam

Troy B. Elam, 89 of Middletown, passed away July 17, 2015 at the Liberty Nursing Home. He was born May 31, 1926 in Knox County, Kentucky, the son of John Nathan Elam and Alice (Clouse) Elam. Troy worked as a mechanic for Portman Equipment Company. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

Troy is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy Mae (Helton) Elam; a daughter, Diane (husband, Dave) McCowan of Trenton; three sons, Troy D. (wife, Rita) Elam of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio, Don (wife, Suzanne) Elam of Monroe, and Jerry (wife, Bonnie) Elam of Anderson, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Monday at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 12:00 Noon, Reverend Troy D. Elam officiating.
