Violet Lee Van Gilder, age 89, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Bickford of Middletown. Violet was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 22,1926, to Clarence and Etta Jane McKinney Gosnell. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 64 years, Clifford Van Gilder. She is survived by her children, Janie Van Gilder, Carolyn Van Gilder, Kevin Van Gilder
and Linda VG Kelley, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
two stepgrandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren, and a number
of nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire,
Ohio beginning at 1 p.m.
