Virgil was formerly employed with General Motors for 36 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Paul.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Debra Fields; his three sons, George Fields, Joseph Fields and Michael Maxwell; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a brother, Coleman Isaac Fields; 3 sisters, Millie Stewart, Naomi Stafford and Connie Fath.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes 40 North Main Street, Springboro. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
