With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Virginia “Cindy” Marie Otis (McCain), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on December 12, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, Virginia carried warmth, kindness, and grace throughout her life while leaving a lasting impact on everyone blessed enough to know her. On May 25, 2026, at the age of 73, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and the memories of a life beautifully lived.
For 43 wonderful years, she shared a beautiful love story with her husband, soulmate, and best friend, Charles Otis. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, laughter, and unconditional love. Joy filled their home, and the laughter they shared together became one of the greatest gifts to all who knew them.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Charles; her daughters, Rachel Reed (Chad) and Angela Otis; her son, Jeffrey Estep; her brother, Mikey; her cherished grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Ian, and Kaitlyn; along with countless family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Larry, James, and Ricky.
Her faith in Jesus Christ remained the foundation of her life. Deep love for her church, compassion for others, and a generous spirit reflected the heart she carried every day.
The Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, held a special place in her heart. Time spent in the mountains with her husband brought her peace, happiness, and some of life’s most treasured memories. She also found great joy in crocheting beautiful handmade gifts for family and friends, with every stitch reflecting love, patience, and care. Those treasured gifts will continue serving as lasting reminders of her gentle spirit and loving heart.
She will always be remembered for her warm smile, quiet strength, loving nature, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Though our hearts carry deep sorrow, comfort comes through knowing she now rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
Forever our Texas Yellow Rose, forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried within our hearts.
