Wayne E. Cox

Wayne E. Cox, age 73 of Middletown, passed away Saturday evening at his home. He was born September 26, 1944 in Hinton, West Virginia, the son of Samuel Marcus Cox and Grace (Williams) Cox. Wayne served in the United States Marine Corps. He attended the Poasttown First Church of God and retired from Magnode Corporation. Wayne is survived by his wife of 46 years, Yvonna K. (O’Hair) Cox; his children, Phillip (wife, Melissa) Cox, Tina (husband, Dennis) Snezak, Traci Cox, Ryan (wife, Betsy) Cox, and Rachel (husband, Mike) Butler; eleven grandchildren, Kristina, Joshua, Matt, Kelly Ryan, Nicholas, Eric, Tera, Emily, Evan, Jillian and Jonah; and five great grandsons, Ashton, Carson, Brayden, Lucas and Eric, Jr.; seven sisters, Wanda Barrentine, Freda Bennett, Anna Jewell, Cora Foster, Karen Lewis, Virginia Deaton and Rhonda Tincher; and three brothers, Gary, David and Daryl Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lenore Lovelace; and brother, Sam Cox, Jr.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Beck officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park with military honors by the United States Marine Corps.
