Wilkie Sizemore

Wilkie Sizemore, age 87, of Franklin passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022, at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born on August 20, 1934 in Hyden, Kentucky to the late A. and Rhoda (Collins) Sizemore. Wilkie was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara (Stout) Sizemore and his son-in-law, Sammy Gross.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Gross; his son, Richard Sizemore; a sister, Emily Goff; 6 grandchildren, Randy (Cindy) Gross, Kevin Gross, Barbara (William) Jennings, Michelle (Brad) Russell, Ricky (Jess) Sizemore, Ben Sizemore. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Wilkie retired after 30 dedicated years of service at Delco Products. He loved Franklin High School sports and boating at the lake.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Anderson Funeral Home- Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street. Interment will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday.
