William Fry

Age 80, of Trenton, OH, passed away after a short illness. He was born on August 19, 1934. He was the son of the late Don and Marie Fry of Trenton, OH. Bill is survived by wife of 62 years, Phoebe V. (Crout) a daughter, Melissa Harsnett (James) and son, Dr. Stephen Fry (Melissa Smith, significant other) and 6 grandchildren: Bryan Harsnett, Laura Harsnett, Miranda Fry, Nichole Fry, Elliot Fry, and Devin Fry. Bill retired from Armco (AK Steel) after over 40 years as electric motor repair and then Electric Shop Foreman. He then started a new career in Sales with Eastern Electric. Bill served in the U.S. Army. Bill’s grandchildren were very important to him. He never missed a grandchild’s sports game or activity and was always there for his grandchildren in any way needed. Bill’s life was full of friends and volunteering, always ready to lend a hand. He could rarely go somewhere where he didn’t run into someone he knew. He was a 40 year member of Lions Club, Trenton City Personnel Committee, Edgewood Schools Scholarship Committee, member Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, formerly on Chrisholm Board and Fishing Club. Visitation will be held at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church in Trenton, OH, on Tuesday, May 5th, from 10am-12pm, with funeral following at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
